Enjoy the fresh air! For the rest of the summer, weather permitting, our Zumba classes will be held outside. Join us every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. Now is your chance to give Zumba a try and enjoy the summer weather. Admission is still only $5. In the event of poor weather (cool, rain, fog) classes will be held inside the hall. For more information call Marie (696-8169).
New Catechism Time
Since our Sunday Morning Mass is now at 11:00am, the Religious Education program will now be from 10:30am – 11:30am and then conclude with all of the students joining our faith community for the conclusion of our Sunday Morning Mass.
First Friday Holy Hour And Mass
The monthly First Friday Holy Hour will take place at St. Joachim’s on Friday, August 3rd, from 11am – 12:30pm. The Holy Hour begins at 11am and will consist of exposition, adoration, and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament; concluding with 12 noon Mass.
Mass Intentions
We are now accepting Mass Intentions for the rest of 2012 and the first half of 2013. Call (653-6852) or email the office to schedule a Mass. There is no need to actually drop by the office – you can make all of the arrangements over the phone or by email and then drop your Mass offering in the collection. All full listing of available dates is located here on our website.
Drives To Weekend Masses
We have several parishioners who find it difficult getting to church on the weekend. We suspect that in many cases, other parishioners would be only too happy to give them a drive if they only realized that there was a need. We would like to propose the following: If you are in need of transportation to Mass, or you are willing to give someone a drive, please contact the office (653-6852). We’ll try to help connect people who are willing to provide drives to those who require them. At the moment, we have a parishioner on the Nason Road who is in need of transportation on the weekends. Thank you.
Penny Jar
We have removed the Penny Jar from the foyer of the church. However, please continue to bring in your pennies as they do add up. Instead of dropping them in the jar, please put them in an envelope marked “pennies” and place them in the collection. Your pennies will then be counted and deposited each week with the rest of the collection. We thank you for your continued support of this and every fundraising effort here at St. Joachim’s.
