Holy Week Schedule

Outreach

Volunteers are always welcome to assist in the various outreach activities of the parish, including the Thursday Afternoon Card Party (help needed between 9am – 3pm); Christmas Baskets (help with registrations and shopping for food), or breakfasts at the Loch Lomond Villa (held in May and November). If you feel you have something to contribute, or would like more information, call Jan (696-8221).

PAD For Special Collections

You can now truly be “Envelope Free”. Our PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) system has been upgraded to allow us to accept donations for the various special collections (Holy Land, Retired Priests, etc.) throughout the year. That means that PAD users will no longer have any need for a box of envelopes. If you choose to use PAD for special collections, your monthly donation will be spread evenly between all of the special collections throughout the year.

New PAD forms will attached to this weekend’s bulletin, or are available here. If you haven’t signed up for PAD because of still having to keep track of envelopes, now is the time to switch. Current PAD users who wish to add special collections to their PAD donation should fill out one of the new forms, indicating your choice. If you have any questions on how PAD works, please call (653-6852) or email (office@saintjoachims.com) the office.

Notice For Pre-Authorized Debit Contributors

For those who are Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) contributors, there are new green laminated deposit cards on the wall above the bulletins and New Freemans in the foyer. These are available for you to place in the weekend collection each week, indicating that you are participating in the program. Please do not take these cards home with you, but simply pick one up when you arrive each week, and when the collection is counted after each Mass they will be returned to the foyer for you.

Tax Receipts

Tax receipts for 2011 were mailed out to all parishioners several weeks ago. If yours still has not arrived, please contact the office (office@saintjoachims.com or 653-6852).

Lenten Community Penitential Service

In preparation for Easter, the three North End parishes of Holy Trinity, St. Pius X, and St. Peter’s are coming together for a Lenten Penitential Service at St. Pius X Church on Sunday, March 18th at 2pm. Other priests will also be present and the community penitential service will conclude with individual confessions. Anyone from St. Joachim’s Parish is welcome to join us for the celebration of this Sacrament.

Daily Mass

For those who would like to attend daily Mass each day during Lent, Holy Trinity offers Mass on Tuesday and Thursday at noon.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Confession is celebrated from 3 – 3:30pm every Saturday, or by speaking with Father Stephen to make an appointment for another time.
