Information

Senior Zumba

Depending on the level of interest, we are considering starting a morning Zumba class in the New Year specifically designed for seniors and those with limited mobility. If you think this is something that may interest you, please contact Marie (696-8169) or the office (653-6852 or office@saintjoachims.com) and let us know.

Christmas Flower Memorial

Again this year we are asking for your assistance as we decorate Saint Joachim’s for Christmas. We encourage you to make a donation towards our Christmas flowers in memory of a loved one. Simply write the name(s) of those you would like to remember on an envelope and drop it in the collection. Please also indicate that the envelope is for “Flowers”, and include your envelope number. The names of all those being honored will be included in our Christmas bulletin.

Save A Tree!

Switch from Sunday Envelopes to our environmentally friendly, paperless PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) system. Applications are available in the foyer or online at saintjoachims.com/PAD.

Resource Material

Last weekend a booklet with questions and answers regarding changes to the Mass, as well as a CD, were distributed. If you didn’t receive this material, copies are still available in the foyer.

Hall Rentals

Our parish hall is available for Birthday Parties, Business Meetings, Showers, Wedding Receptions, or whatever functions that you may be planning. Call Marie (696-8169) for prices, or for catering recommendations. She can even set you up with bartenders for licensed functions. You may also visit our website, stjhall.com, for a list of upcoming events and available times.

Online Donations

We have partnered with CanadaHelps.org to enable us to receive donations through our website. CanadaHelps.org is a completely secure website used by thousands of charities across the country, including the Saint John Regional Hospital’s “The Give” campaign.

Clicking on the CanadaHelps button on the right side of our website will allow you to make a donation towards our Debt Fund or Christmas Baskets using your credit card. The site also gives individuals the opportunity to make their donation in memory, or in honour, of a loved one. Tax receipts are immediately emailed to donors; and the donation is deposited electronically in our bank account. Should you be making a donation in memory of someone, you can send that person’s family members a Card via email, or make a request for the parish to mail one on your behalf.
