It is not necessary to have attended any of the previous weeks in order to participate. Chrism Mass

Bishop Harris would like to invite the faithful to the Chrism Mass on Tuesday, April 3rd, 6:30pm, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Rectory.

PAD For Special Collections

You can now truly be “Envelope Free”. Our PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) system has been upgraded to allow us to accept donations for the various special collections (Holy Land, Retired Priests, etc.) throughout the year. That means that PAD users will no longer have any need for a box of envelopes. If you choose to use PAD for special collections, your monthly donation will be spread evenly between all of the special collections throughout the year.

New PAD forms will attached to this weekend’s bulletin, or are available here. If you haven’t signed up for PAD because of still having to keep track of envelopes, now is the time to switch. Current PAD users who wish to add special collections to their PAD donation should fill out one of the new forms, indicating your choice. If you have any questions on how PAD works, please call (653-6852) or email (office@saintjoachims.com) the office.

Zumba Toning

The latest addition to our Zumba family is Zumba Toning, which uses weights for body sculpting. There was such a huge demand for our first series of classes they were sold out before we even had a chance to advertise. Each series of Zumba Toning classes lasts for 10 weeks and has a limited class size. If you missed out this time – don’t worry, we should be starting another series in a few months. If you are interested in getting your name on the list for next time, or just want some more information about Zumba Toning, give Connie (833-4697) or Marie (696-8169) a call. In the meantime, join us every Monday & Wednesday at 7pm for our regular Zumba classes, or Tuesdays at 10am for Zumba Gold!

Adoration

All are welcome to Eucharistic Adoration on Sunday, March 25th from 2 – 4pm at St. Joachim’s.

Special Development And Peace Collection

The annual Lenten Development and Peace collection (Saturday, March 24th, and Sunday, March 25th) goes towards helping to support the needs of those living in developing, poor Third World countries. The Canadian Bishops encourage us to respond to God’s generosity to us by supporting the works of the Canadian Catholic Organization of Development and Peace. Christians are urged to share their goods with others and thus express in a concrete way their desire to come closer to God and all God’s children as a result of their Lenten efforts, through this annual collection.
