Job Opening
The Saint John Diocesan Cemeteries have an immediate opening for a Cemetery Services Representative. Minimum two years of sales and administrative experience required, as well as knowledge of Word, Excel, and QuickBooks. Position is part time (30hrs/wk) with a benefit package. Salary is commensurate with experience. Interested parties should forward their resume, plus the names of two references, to the Search Committee (catholiccemeteries@nb.aibn.com) before February 24th. The full description for this position is available by contacting the parish office.
Hospital Volunteers
Parishioners who volunteer at the hospital will no doubt be aware that Saint John hospitals now require volunteers to obtain a background check in order to renew their hospital identification. Many parishioners also had background checks done for the Diocese of Saint John’s Responsible Ministry Program. The Hospital Authority has informed the Diocese that they are willing to accept the background checks done for the Diocese, rather than make hospital volunteers go for another check. If you volunteer at the hospital in our lay ministry program, please contact the office with your name and the exact expiration date of your hospital ID. The Diocese will keep this information on file and have the necessary paperwork ready for you at the time of your ID renewal.
Tax Receipts
Tax Receipts for 2011 were mailed out in the last few days, so all parishioners should receive them during the coming week. If you notice any errors on your receipt, please contact the office.
Youth Group
Sports Night – Sunday, February 5th, 6:30pm at Champlain Heights School.
For more information, contact Joseph (catholicyouthinchrist@gmail.com).
