Religious Education Meeting

All returning Religious Education teachers / helpers are asked to join us for a preparation meeting for this year’s program on Thursday, September 12th, at 7pm in the parish hall. Those who would like to assist us by becoming a teacher or helping for the coming year are also encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend, please contact either Fr. Stephen (653-6842) or the parish office (653-6852 or office@saintjoachims.com) – we need to know how many teachers will be returning for this school year. We ask that all parents consider becoming involved with our Religious Education program at least one year during the time that their children are attending classes.

Adoration

Adoration will be held on Sunday, September 1st, 2 – 4pm. All are welcome.

Lay Pastoral Ministry Program

The Diocese of Saint John is happy to announce that another Lay Pastoral Ministry Formation Program will begin November 2013. This is a two-year program that takes place over ten monthly weekends each year. It is a great opportunity for those involved in ministry (within and outside the walls of the church), desiring to learn more about their faith and to grow spiritually, and to develop pastoral skills. It is also a helpful program for those discerning God’s call for ministry. Further information can be found on posters and brochures in the foyer of the church. If you need further information, you may leave a message for Claudette Derdaele, Coordinator of the program, by contacting the Diocese (653-6800). Please note that Diocesan policy requires all applicants to be approved by their parish priest. Registration deadline is September 30th.
