K of C Social
Council 8364 will be having a family social on Sunday, October 14th, 3pm, in their quarters. This social is for Knights with young children and grandchildren to spend time together playing games, watching television, or just time to be together to talk and have a light meal.
Youth Group

Coffee Social
The Parish Council and Knights of Columbus will be providing coffee and Timbits after both Masses this weekend, October 13th & 14th, in the foyer of the church.
Religious Education

50/50 Draw
Congratulations to Jim Howlett (Ticket #0128284), who won $880.00 in our September 50/50 Draw.
Tickets for our October 50/50 Draw are now on sale. An envelope of 5 tickets costs only $10. Only 200 envelopes will be sold – meaning you have a 1 in 200 chance to win. Tickets will be available in the foyer before and after Mass, or you can call Mary Ellen (696-2385) or Marie (696-8169). All proceeds going towards the parish debt. Draw is October 28th. Knights Of Columbus
This month’s K of C meetings will be held on Wednesday, October 10th & Wednesday, October 24th, 7:30pm, in the Knight’s Quarters.
Free Health & Nutrition Seminars
St. Joachim’s will be hosting a series of free education sessions on the topic of health and nutrition. They will be held on three consecutive Thursday nights at 7pm in the Parish Hall. The sessions will be presented by Jennifer Blackwood, RN, CCRC, OHN, who has over 30 years of experience in the health care field.
October 4th – Waist Management – Learn how to eat less and never be hungry, lose weight and stay energized all day.
October 11th – How To Read A Nutritional Label – Make healthier choices for you and your family by understanding the purpose of the nutritional label and what a useful tool it can be in identifying those empty calories.
October 18th – Sodium The Silent Ingredient – Don’t be fooled any longer; learn how to identify the key sources of sodium and avoid consuming up to twice as much as your body needs.
Ministry Expo & Recruitment Fair
The Parish Council is hosting a Ministry Expo and Recruitment Fair this weekend immediately following each Mass. We invite everyone to come and learn about the great work being done at St. Joachim’s. We are also in need of volunteers for some of our Ministries. Talk with one of our many coordinators and become a volunteer. Light refreshments will be served.
Adoration
For this month only, Adoration is being held a week early. Everyone is welcome on Sunday, September 23rd from 2 – 4pm at St. Joachim’s.
