Hall Rentals
If you are planning an event, and considering renting our hall, we encourage you to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. The full schedule for all activities going on in of Parish Hall through the end of next year is available here on our website (saintjoachims.com/hall). We rent our hall for parties, showers, receptions and we are also able to accommodate licensed functions. For more information on hall rentals, call Marie (696-8169).

50/50 Draw
Tickets for our next 50/50 Draw go on sale in September. An envelope of 5 tickets costs only $10. Only 200 envelopes will be sold – meaning you have a 1 in 200 chance to win. Tickets will be available in the foyer before and after Mass, or you can call Mary Ellen (696-2385) or Marie (696-8169). Winning number will be announced in the bulletin. All proceeds going towards the parish debt.

Religious Education Registration
Registration for Religious Education classes will be held on Saturday, September 29th and Sunday, September 30th before and after each Mass in the Parish Hall. The registration fee is $15/child or $25/family, which helps to offset some of the costs of running the program. We have raised the registration fee by a small amount from last year as it was not nearly enough to cover the expenses of the teachers. Please remember to bring a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate as we require them for all children enrolled in Religious Education.
Classes begin Sunday, October 14th at 10:30am in the Hall. For more information on our Religious Education program, please contact Jean Donaldson.
Religious Education Teachers
We are looking for teachers for our Religious Education program (specifically Grades 2 & 3) beginning in October. If you would be willing to contribute to the education of the youth of our parish every Sunday morning, please contact Jean Donaldson (jeandonaldson42@gmail.com).
Adoration
Adoration scheduled for Sunday, August 26th at Saint Joachim’s has been cancelled. Adoration will resume on the last Sunday of September.
Yarn Donations Needed
Do you have any cotton yarn that you are not using? Several parishioners are looking for donations of cotton yarn to be used for making dish cloths that will be included in this year’s Christmas Baskets. Contact Toby (696-1905) if you would like to donate some yarn.
